More than 30 years after an elderly woman was stabbed to death inside her Lehigh Valley home, an arrest has been made in her murder. On Thursday, May 16, 2024, Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin Holihan announced homicide and burglary charges against Michael Breisch, now 65, in the 1989 murder of 78-year-old Rose Hnath.

2024 District 11 baseball tournament brackets
The brackets have been released for the District 11 baseball tournaments. Play begins Monday in the Class 3A field, which is a subregional tournament with District 1. Eastern Pennsylvania Conference champion Liberty (6A), Pocono Mountain East (5A), Schuylkill League champion Tamaqua (Class 4A), Northwestern Lehigh (3A), Schuylkill Haven (2A) and Marian Catholic (A) earned top seeds.
