MORGANTOWN – A 32-year-old Morgantown man Nathan Eisenmenger has been charged with a level 6 felony for resisting law enforcement with a vehicle. On December 26, Sheriff’s Deputy Cody Loncaric observed a vehicle failing to signal a turn on Eagle Drive Access. According to the report, the vehicle accelerated its speed before making the turn causing the back tires to lose traction. Loncaric followed the vehicle and allegedly observed it veering into the opposite lane while completing another turn. According to the report Loncaric initiated a routine traffic stop and instructed Eisenmenger to get out of the vehicle. A man exited the passenger side later identified as Curtis Shepherd and Eisenmenger allegedly took off at an accelerated speed. According to the report, Loncaric pursued the vehicle until running off the wet road during a curve. Chief Deputy Paul Henderson, Sergeant Aaron Schonfeld, Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Dames and Officer Heath Young arrived at the scene to assist Loncaric. Sergeant William Pool later located the suspect vehicle at a driveway on Nineveh Road, Sheriff’s Deputy Zaccary Sheppard arrived and notified dispatch of the location. According to the report, the homeowner was not familiar with the vehicle and wanted it towed from his property.
