According to a release, Petco Love , a nonprofit founded in 1999, is investing into East Texas for their commitment for a future where no pet is euthanized unnecessarily,

“Petco Love’s support comes at an opportune time for Marshall and Harrison County. MPAC’s no-kill status, achieved in 2023, has meant longer stays, especially for adult dogs,” Marshall Chief Police Cliff Carruth, said. “We plan to use the $11,000 grant to enrich the lives of these dogs, thereby enhancing their adoptability and reducing the time they must spend in-shelter.”

Petco Love president Susanne Kogut said, local investments is part of their strategy to empower animal lovers to also drive lifesaving change.

MPAC is located on 2502 E. Travis St. For more information about the nonprofit, people can visit Petco Love’s website .
