Eugene firefighters contain first-alarm house fire in neighborhood
EUGENE, Ore. – A garage fire in a tight-knit neighborhood was quickly contained Thursday afternoon after numerous firefighters arrived to the scene, firefighters said. According to Eugene Springfield Fire, reports of a fire at a home on Stark Street came in at about 4:57 p.m. on May 9. Firefighters arrived about four minutes after the call to find heavy smoke from the garage with fire starting to spread into the attic. A total of nine firefighting vehicles arrived to the scene, and firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire and start searching for occupants.
