‘Double everything’: North Alabama truckers cope with soaring diesel prices

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Diesel prices remain near record levels, and truckers say they are changing how they operate just to keep their businesses moving. Alabama’s average diesel price is about $6.03 a gallon, while the national average is nearly $6.39, according to AAA. That is more than $2 higher than this time last year.
