The Village of Waverly was awarded $4.5 million through the NY Forward program, a companion project to the Downtown Revitalization Initiative that has provided millions of dollars to the City of Elmira and other Southern Tier communities. Improvements included a new outdoor patio, upgraded site lighting, new energy-efficient siding and insulation, complete roof replacement, and the rehabilitation of the parking lot. Kathy Hochul, Empire State Development, the Department of State and local leaders for the support. "Soprano’s Market is entering an exciting new chapter," she said.
