MANSFIELD, Pa. ( WETM ) — Motorists traveling through Mansfield overnight next week may experience delays as roadwork continues in the area.

According to PennDOT, roadwork is scheduled to take place on Route 6 between North Academy Street and Railroad Street and on Main Street between East Main Street and Route 1002 (East Elmira Street) during the week of Sunday, May 12. Crews will be relocating utilities and making drainage improvements on these roadways overnight between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

These portions of Route 6 and Main Street will be reduced to single lanes while work is being performed, and flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic.

Crews will continue to work on the ADA ramps in Mansfield’s business district during the week of May 12 as well. The work will take place between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. each day and is expected to have little effect on traffic.
