    Man found floating in water near Staten Island Ferry: NYPD

    MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Authorities found a dead man floating in the water near the Staten Island Ferry Terminal in Manhattan on Saturday, police said.

    The NYPD Harbor Unit pulled the unconscious man from the East River near the Whitehall Terminal at around 3:45 p.m., accoridng to the NYPD. The body was taken to Pier 16, where he was pronounced dead, police said. It was unclear if the body had any visible signs of trauma.

    The man has not been identified and the medical examiner will determine the cause of death, police said.

    No other information was immediately available.
