Robert Albert Bajar, age 84 of Manchester, formerly of Florida, was born in Cliffside Park, NJ, on February 19, 1940, to the late Alois and Helen Bajar. He was a firefighter for the state of New Jersey until his retirement. Robert was an avid baseball card collector and enjoyed watching Major League Baseball, especially the Florida Marlins.

Alzheimer’s Tennessee to host Purple Olympics
Alzheimer’s Tennessee will be hosting its annual fundraiser Purple Olympics Saturday, May 4 at the Tullahoma High School gymnasium. The event, in addition to being a fundraiser, is to celebrate and support families in the community living with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. The gathering will offer brain healthy games, musical entertainment, free food, door prizes and other activities for all ages. Registration and entertainment will begin at 8:30 a.m. followed by the opening ceremony and Olympic parade at 9 a.m. and the games will commence at 9:30 a.m.

Nickey Lee Shelton, age 75 of Manchester, was born on February 25, 1949, in Woodbury, TN, to the late Lester and Bessie Shelton.
