Operations Update: Mammoth Scales Back for Spring Skiing

It’s been a couple of classic California spring skiing days this past weekend, but sadly resorts are starting to scale back as the snow melts.

Update from Mammoth’s operations team :

“Sunshine, spring corn, sunscreen, and smiles are what today is all about. Lay down some serious carves once the snow starts to soften up this morning and get stoked for another gorgeous, great day on the slopes. There is a little something for everyone out there and the time is now to take advantage of the true spring shred. Throw on that hoodie, lather up the sunscreen, and spend the day on the hill with us enjoying all that the mountain has to offer from steeps, to the terrain parks, to perfectly slushy, fun groomers.”

Eagle Lodge and the Village Gondola are now closed for the season.

Broadway Express is also closed for the season now as they begin putting in the new lift.

Canyon Lodge will be closed during the week, but will reopen on Friday for the weekend.

Schoolyard Express (17) open for skier access. The Tube Park at Woolly's Adventure Summit, Tamarack Cross-Country Ski Center, Snowmobile Adventures, and Eagle Lodge are now CLOSED for the season.

Expected lifts this week:

Stump Alley (2), Face Lift (3), Roller Coaster (4), High Five (5), Unbound (6), Gold Rush (10), Discovery (11), Chair 23 and the Panorama Gondola.

These are of course subject to change, so make sure you check before you head up.

It looks like we’ll have a couple more days of good weather, but the weatherman is predicting possible thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday.

After that, it looks like smooth sailing and more sunny spring days at Mammoth.
