Mahopac School District Launches Budget Survey

MAHOPAC, N.Y. — The Mahopac School District is conducting a survey seeking opinions about its 2024-2025 budget, which was approved by the school board last Wednesday . The survey is anonymous and will be open through Monday, May 6. There will be a public budget hearing at the High School on Tuesday, May 7 at 7 p.m.

Superintendent Christine Tona said the school district "would like to receive the input and perspective of families, students, employees, and community members" regarding the budget, which will be up for public vote on Tuesday, May 21, from 6 a.m.- 9 p.m. at Mahopac High School. Early voting and absentee voting information is available through the district clerk's website .

"Please complete this survey so you can provide input on the best ways that we can communicate the details of the school budget with the community," Tona said. "Please take a few minutes to provide your answers. Community input is essential to the budget development process and is highly valued and appreciated by the district.

"Thank you, and please remember to vote on May 21," Tona added.
