This year, A & A contributed $1,200 to the cause and the charity presented the business -- co-owned by father and son Dillon and Anthony Addonizio -- with a plaque of appreciation for their generosity. "[Anthony] never asked for anything other than a plaque, and he always does it just for his sister," said Community Cares founder, president and Putnam County Legislator Amy Sayegh (Mahopac). "People do good things, quietly all the time. Anthony is one of them." Founded in 2007 as a way for Sayegh to "pay forward" the help she received during her own battle with cancer, Community Cares helps families of school-aged children who have a parent dealing with cancer or other major medical illnesses manage household tasks like cleaning, laundry, food and more.
