ALERT DAY conditions expected Monday and Tuesday - Jacob

WHAT WE'RE TRACKING:

• ALERT DAY Monday and Tuesday for severe weather
• Significant storms possible Tuesday
• Not as warm after the storms

PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Showers and storms will develop later tonight and into Monday morning. Scattered storms will then continue through the morning and afternoon. An ALERT DAY is in the forecast for the possibility that some of the storms could produce gusty winds, hail, and possibly an isolated tornado. Storms will clear out by the evening, but more storms are expected Tuesday.

EXTENDED FORECAST: Another ALERT DAY is in the forecast for Tuesday, and these storms could be stronger than the ones on Monday. Tuesday's thunderstorms could produce strong winds, large hail, and possibly a few tornadoes. Most of the storms will impact our area during the late afternoon and evening. It is advised that everyone stay up to date with the forecast Tuesday evening for changing conditions. Temperatures will drop a bit following the storms, but highs will still be comfortably in the lower 70s.
