N.H. volleyball: Oyster River survives Hollis-Brookline, advances to DII championship
DERRY – The Oyster River High School volleyball team got all it could handle from upset-minded Hollis-Brookline in Wednesday night’s Division II semifinals, but the Bobcats held on for a hard-fought 3-1 win to set up a championship match against rival Somersworth. Oyster River went on to win the set, 26-24, to close out the match. “That is the first time Maggie has served in a game this season,” Oyster River head coach Cassie Doore said. “She rattled off (four) points, and she played some defense back there too, which we don’t normally ask of her. When he found out the Dimond Library was reviewing nearly 300,000 print titles for potential removal, he started a petition to ask the university to reconsider. Within a week, it gathered over 600 signatures.
