The Longmont Leader received a letter to the editor from Good Neighbors of Lyons Sarah Lorang about CEMEX Lyons Cement Plant compliance. In response to the letter by Mr. Erik Estrada, Cemex Lyons Plant Manager, we, the Good Neighbors of Lyons, wish to present a different perspective—one that recognizes the well-being of CEMEX employees, but also recognizes the broader community's right to a safe and healthy environment.

Yelp has published their 2024 list of the 'best 100 barbecue spots in America' and three Colorado restaurants made the cut for inclusion. While Texas, Kansas, and North Carolina tend to get some of the most attention when it comes to barbecue nationwide, Wright's Barbecue in Arkansas snagged the top spot on the ranked list, with establishments in Arizona, Nevada, Montana, Florida, and Tennessee joining the 'big three' to round out the top 10. ...

City officials recommend against Boulder ban on gas-powered landscaping tools
City officials are recommending against any new regulations on gas-powered leaf blowers and other landscaping tools to the Boulder City Council. Bull Elk Tangled Up In Rope Picks Fight With Another Elk In Colorado Creek
Apparently being self-lassoed doesn't stop a bull elk from going on the offense. This wild bull elk battle took place in Estes Park, Colorado, and that shouldn't really be a surprise. There are an estimated 280,000 elk that live in Colorado, which gives the state the largest concentrated population of elk in the world. That actually makes the "Centennial State" a popular tourist destination, and one of the more popular visited places is Estes Park, Colorado. I've never been myself, but from what I hear and see online, elk are roaming all over the place in the town that acts as a...

Head coach Matt Rhule discussed the excitement surrounding the kickoff time on the Husker Radio Network on Tuesday evening. We’ve had one home night game here so far, and it was a great experience. I think this is great for our fans and great for the game. The Nebraska and Colorado rivalry over the years and what it means. Obviously, they beat...

Letter: Setting the Record Straight on CommonSpirit Health Negotiations
The Longmont Leader received a letter to the editor from Matt Picket, president of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Colorado about negotiations with CommonSpirit Health. Affordability matters in healthcare. Ask the nearly 50% of Americans who say they have difficulty affording healthcare costs. Ask the thousands of Colorado employers who directly pay their employees’ healthcare bills how decades of skyrocketing costs have crippled their ability to hire, invest, and grow. The fact is that quality healthcare must go hand in hand with affordable healthcare.
