Services for Denny Ray “Fluffy” Keller Saturday
Denny Ray “Fluffy” Keller, 74, of Lynchburg, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Bailey Manor in Fayetteville. He was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 22, 1949, to the late Charles Ed and Edith Pearl (Tipps) Keller. Fluffy was a life-long farmer and carpenter by trade. Many of the barns in Moore County and surrounding counties had been built or roofed by him. Very active in many community events and projects, he drove the school bus for Moore County High School sporting events and helped start the Moore- County Fast Pitch softball at the high school.

June was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Tommie Walls Blankenship and Helen Constance Cofield. She grew up in Atlanta and attended Hapeville High School and later graduated with her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Emory University. June continued her nursing studies in New York City and at the University of Colorado in Denver where she met her husband Jim Pugh who was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base. She received her master’s degree in psychiatric nursing. June and Jim moved to Nashville in 1969 where she worked at the Nashville VA Medical Center and where she found her passion in nursing by helping veterans battling alcoholism and as a nurse recruiter.

Jack Daniel's Distillery released Batch 2 of its 10-year whiskey in March 2023. Produced in Lynchburg, Tennessee, the whiskey has been aged for 10 years. Moving on to the palate, the whiskey has a medium-plus weight with a spicy/sweet profile. Those sweeter notes are on the darker side with caramel and rich vanilla, but there's also a tanginess that helps cut through the sweetness.

Kerry Lynn Syler
Kerry Lynn Syler departed from this life on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 71 years. A native of Lynchburg, Tennessee, he was born on November 11, 1952, to the late Roy Clayton Syler and Maggie Johnson Syler who survives him. He was married to Marie Syler of Lynchburg, Tennessee and she too survives him.
