Dozier Elementary’s Bucket Fillers
This year, Dozier Elementary hosted a new program spearheaded by counselor Kayla Robles. Each Friday, “Bucket Fillers” were recognized on their school Facebook page. It represented those who went out of their way to spread kindness to others that week. Though a few were missing, this group of students were named in the final group of Bucket Fillers for the 2023-2024 year. Mrs. Kayla shared these words. “Your positive contributions are making a difference, and your efforts are truly commendable. Keep spreading kindness and filling those buckets all summer long!”
CHHS to launch girls flag football team in 2024
Getting your Trinity Audio player ready... The fall of 2024 will see the inaugural Charles Henderson High School girls flag football season. The Lady Trojans flag football team will be coached by LaKenya Knight, who also coaches the girls basketball and cross country teams at CHHS. Knight said that she played flag football herself as a child, but starting up the program at CHHS came as a byproduct of offseason workouts for her basketball team.
