SR 52 to Suncoast Parkway is now six lanes
LAND O’ LAKES — There are now more lanes in Land O’ Lakes — specifically on State Road 52. As early as May 13, FDOT removed barricades and opened up the expansion of SR 52 from the Suncoast Parkway to east of US 41, measuring approximately one mile total of widening of the road in both directions. The portion now makes SR 52 six lanes all the way from US 41 as it stretches through and into Hudson ending at US 19.
Bay Area nonprofit receives $175,000 grant to help domestic abuse survivors with housing
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - A nonprofit dedicated to helping domestic violence survivors and standing up to silence just got more help with its mission. Community Action Stops Abuse of Pinellas County, or CASA, recently received a $175,000 grant from TD Bank. The money will be used to safely rehouse people into their own apartments or homes away from their abusers, Lariana Forsythe, CEO of CASA Pinellas, said.
