Some areas will see expected rainfall totals cut in half, while others may get very little additional rain at all. One last surge of showers is possible later this evening, but most of the region should stay dry Sunday. Cooler air pushing in from the northeast is also making temperatures noticeably cooler underneath the wedge.

A wet first weekend of October forecast
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - We officially picked up an inch of rain at the Savannah/HHI Int’l Airport and that came down in about an hour. We’re on our way to pick up a month’s worth of rain in the first few days of October. The average rainfall for this month is 3.72″. High pressure is off the coast of North Carolina, and cold front is draped from Quebec to Dallas, and we’re caught in between with a steady flow of moisture. The main concern this weekend isolated flooding. The will be big lulls in rain but then slow moving downpours.
