A commercial interior company has opened in Lubbock, with plans to focus on several West Texas cities.

Tangram Interiors, a curator for commercial interior environments and flagship dealer of Steelcase, Inc., recently opened a Lubbock office at 6510 70th St. This new office plans to focus on expansion in the Lubbock, Amarillo, Midland and surrounding areas in the hopes of bridging the gap between rural communities and metropolitan resources, according to a news release.

"While we have been serving the region from our Dallas office, we realized the importance of investing in the communities to enhance the customer experience and elevate the resources provided through local support," said Mark Peters, Director of Sales at Tangram. "Lubbock and West Texas are deep-rooted communities and have been a priority for Tangram since entering the Texas market."

The Lubbock office will be led by Sales Executive Britni Wilkens, a Texas Tech alumna with 18 years of experience in interior design.

"I am honored to lead Tangram's expansion into West Texas and look forward to empowering local businesses and designers through innovative interior solutions," Wilkens said. "The community is very loyal, and there’s a distinctive sense of connectedness through relationships, both personally and professionally."

Some of Wilkens' career highlights include collaborating on the Lubbock Police Headquarters, Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences, and USDA Cotton Classing Laboratory.

Tangram has already started a project in Lubbock - furnishing Covenant Medical Center's Hope Tower.

Tangram, which has a showroom in Dallas, offers "custom furniture, ancillary furniture, flooring and light construction, audio-visual integration, architectural walls, on-site furniture reconditioning, asset management and storage, delivery and installation, and corporate moves," according to the release.
