LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A Los Angeles man pleaded guilty Tuesday to his role in a narcotics conspiracy involving about four pounds of methamphetamine.

Aaron Joseph, 41, entered his plea in federal court in Camden, New Jersey, to a charge of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in New Jersey.

Prosecutors said that from October 2020 through July 2022, Joseph shipped packages from California to associates in New Jersey. Joseph's partners then distributed the drugs and Joseph received payment for the shipments.

On Feb. 14, 2022, Joseph shipped a package containing 5,100 pills from California to New Jersey. The pills contained methamphetamine and weighed about four pounds, prosecutors said.

The count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine carries a sentence of up to 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine. Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 3.
