Anthony Davis Shares Massive Update On Injury Status Of Laker Teammate

Los Angeles Lakers stars Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and D'Angelo Russell have taken the brunt of the heat in the team's playoffs series. The Lakers are down 3-1 to the defending champion Denver Nuggets.

Their most productive player has been Anthony Davis, but the impact he's made on the court hasn't resulted in much winning basketball. Davis spoke with the media prior to the Lakers' Game 5 matchup in Denver.

He gave some massive intel that many Lakers fans have been waiting for. Davis shared an update on the availability of Jarred Vanderbilt, letting fans know that the forward will be returning Monday night.

Los Angeles has been awaiting Vanderbilt's return for quite some time and Davis has it clear that he'll be able to suit up for L.A. in Game 5, we just don't know how much he'll play.

"We do get him back tonight," Davis said of Vanderbilt. "Not sure of how much he'll be able to play but just having his presence on the floor will definitely help us."

Vanderbilt is listed as questionable on the injury report. Since Feb. 1, he's been listed as 'out' with a foot sprain.

Vanderbilt is a major piece to the Lakers lineup, especially on the defensive end

When Los Angeles faced off against the Nuggets last season, Vanderbilt took the Jamal Murray assignment, as well as switched on a couple of other stars in Denver, and was very successful.

This could be a huge boost for a Lakers team that's desperate to bring the series back home.
