Absegami softball continues breakout season with win over Williamstown
In 2021 and 2022, the Absegami High School softball team posted a combined 8-32 record. Last year, the Braves finished 12-12. On Thursday night, as Absegami honored the three seniors who began their careers with a four-win season, it matched last year’s win total, improving to 12-4 with a 4-3 victory over a three-win Williamstown team that outside of one sloppy inning played much better than its record indicated.

Delran used the scoring of sophomore Scott Sabarese and freshman TJ Howley to rally from a three-goal halftime deficit for a 10-8 victory over Cedar Creek Friday in Delran. Sabarese scored four goals and assisted on four to reach 100 career points and Howley compiled three goals and two assists and also won 10 of 14 at the faceoff X to guide Delran (8-5) to its fourth straight victory. Lamanteer backs own pitching with 3 RBI as Vineland baseball downs Atlantic Tech
Kyle Lamanteer doubled and drove in three runs as Vineland defeated Atlantic Tech, 9-6, in Vineland. Lamanteer also pitched 4 1/3 innings to earn himself a win.
