Route 34 in Colts Neck closed after single-car accident
COLTS NECK - Route 34 was closed Saturday morning in both directions between Newman Springs Road and South Street after a vehicle hit a utility pole, authorities said. Colts Neck Sgt. Matthew Miyakawa said the highway was expected to remained closed for much of the day while crews from Jersey Central Power & Light and Verizon help to clear the scene.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ: Middletown Township and American Legion Post 338 invite all residents to come together, Monday, May 27, for the annual Memorial Day Parade to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice and served our country. Prior to the parade, there will be a service at the World War II Memorial (900 Leonardville Road) at 9:00 AM. The parade will begin at 10:00 AM at Bayshore Middle School (834 Leonardville Road) and end at American Legion Post 338 (860 NJ-36). FREEHOLD - A criminal investigation into accusations of voter fraud in Monmouth County is underway by the Prosecutor’s Office, according to the law enforcement agency. “The Prosecutor’s Office can confirm the existence of an active investigation into allegations that certain individuals may have improperly registered to vote and/or voted in a previous election in Monmouth County,” said Mark Spivey, a spokesman for Prosecutor Raymond S.
