Wildwood Police Rescind State of Emergency Due to “Civil Unrest” on the Boardwalk
Wildwood City Police rescinded a State of Emergency that was declared early Monday morning due to what is described as “civil unrest” on the city’s boardwalk. The boardwalk was closed by police early this morning due to the unlawful activity. Police say there were numerous incidents occurring on the boardwalk. The emergency order has been rescinded, and the boardwalk is back open.
Thousands still without power after storms move through
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) — Thousands were left without power after severe storms rolled through the area Sunday. Ameren Missouri reported as of 7:30 p.m. Sunday that 12,654 customers were without power in St. Louis County; another 1,835 customers were without power in the city of St. Louis. By 10:00 p.m., around 7,700 customers had no power in St. Louis County, and around 1,650 had no power in St. Louis City. Around 10:00 p.m. in Franklin County, just under 900 people were without power. Ameren outages in Jefferson County were 1,800 at 10:00 p.m. In St. Charles County, 114 Ameren customers are without power.

DITTMER, Mo. — A propane tank caught fire Sunday morning after it was struck by lightning in Dittmer, Missouri, the property owner told 5 On Your Side. According to the property owner, firefighters evacuated the area while they worked to extinguish the fire at the 8800 block of Tranquil Drive.
