When law enforcement arrived, the LCSO said deputies noticed a man exiting the vehicle and running into the residence beside it, carrying what law enforcement called a “weapon in the small of his back.”
Authorities later identified this man as Terry Browning, 45. Browning, along with three other individuals, were inside the residence at the time law enforcement arrived.
Law enforcement said Browning attempted to flee the home but was disarmed and taken into custody.
Authorities said the three other individuals in the residence eventually came out and cooperated with law enforcement when told they were being detained. The three were identified as Margie Bowling, 36; Bridgett Murray, 40; and Steve Couch, 45, authorities said.
According to his arrest citation, Browning was charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police on foot and receiving stolen property valued between $1,000 and $10,000. The weapon Browning was carrying was later identified as a BB gun painted to resemble a handgun, according to court documents. Margie Bowling was charged with receiving stolen property between $1,000 and $10,000.
Couch and Murray were each charged with outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court in various cases, according to court documents.
According to the LCSO, the investigation into the vehicle’s location was carried out with the assistance of the London Police Department and detectives.
All four individuals charged in the investigation were lodged at the Laurel County Correctional Center, per LCSO.
