Director of Grand Junction Parks and Recreation Ken Sherbenou says “we do have some classes that are already full, but there still is availability, both here at Lincoln Park and as well as Orchard Mesa Pool.”

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Fruita Monument High School Senior Lucas Weaves displays his dominance with a 14 strikeout No-Hitter. 10 days ago Fruita traveled to Grand Junction for a matchup with the Tigers of Grand Junction High School. Senior Pitcher Lucas Weaves was quite literally unhittable Vs. the Tigers. Weaver tossed a 7 inning no hitter Vs. Grand Junction where he recorded 21 outs, 14 of which came via the strikeout. The Senior also gave himself some insurance at the dish picking up an RBI double in the 8-1 win. Weaver finished the regular season with a 3-1 record on the bump with a ridiculous 1.99 ERA. The Senior standout threw 38.2 innings giving up just 11 earned runs, 13 walks to pair with 54 strikeouts. Fruita enters postseason play tomorrow Vs. Fairview riding a 14 game win streak.
