CAMDEN, NJ – A 21-year-old shooting victim was found by officers from the Camden County Police Department on Sunday afternoon at 3100 Alabama Road and taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he died. Daijohn Spaulding of Camden was discovered when police responded about 2:40 p.m. to an activation of the department's ShotSpotter, which monitors gunshots and provides police with a location, according to the department and the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. Spaulding was pronounced dead at Cooper at 3:01 p.m. Spaulding's death is the sixth homicide in Camden this year, according to the Prosecutor's Office. Last year, Camden had 28 homicides.
