Serving up smiles at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
The Wawa Coffee & Care Cart has been in operation at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for about 30 years. The idea is to bring a little light to one of the hardest moments in a parent's life. The cart makes daily rounds going from room to room giving out free hot and cold drinks. The reality is, most parents are unable to leave their child's side, but the coffee cart is there to help out. The service is made up mostly of volunteers who devote their time serving up drinks and a glimmer of hope when patients and parents need it most.
