Twin sisters graduate as valedictorian and salutatorian at nation's oldest HBCU
Tia and Jasmin Criss, twin sisters from Mount Airy, Philadelphia, shared the stage as valedictorian and salutatorian at their graduation from Cheyney University.
Together, they penned a new chapter in the history books of the nation's oldest Historically Black College and University.
The Criss sisters share many things together, such as a love for tennis, restaurants, and movies.
But the shared honor of representing their graduating class is among their greatest achievements.
The twins earned the roles thanks to their high marks, community engagement, and overall character. They also credit their mother and late father for putting academics at the forefront.
Tia and Jasmin each plan to pursue an MBA at West Chester University starting in the fall.
Watch the video above to see what this special moment meant to them.

Meet Junior Mint: The Sweet & Playful Little Dog Looking for Love
Meet Junior Mint: a playful, toy-loving dog who’s looking to settle into a permanent home before the season slips away. The Scituate Animal Shelter of Massachusetts recently introduced him as a “playful guy” who “LOVES fetch” and “happily entertains himself with his toys,” packaging a big presence into a dog who, at eight years old, still brings energy and spark to everyday life. With summer nearing its end, the shelter says Junior Mint “is ready to be home before summer ends,” and they’re hoping the right person or family sees what makes this dog stand out.
