NYC coffee shop (by way of Panama) rated among world's top 100
A New York City coffee shop recently got some serious bragging rights.
Less than a year after opening, Arcane Estate Coffee in Manhattan's West Village made it on the list of the World's Top 100 coffee shops.
They placed 12 on the list.
The coffee company is trying to bridge the gap and put more eyes on Panamanian coffee.
"I think from that trip, Edgar and I decided to partner up and open a shop in New York where we could showcase exclusively coffee from that region of Panama," Praveen Rathinavelu, partner of Arcane Estate Coffee.
Founder Edgar Acosta-Masferrer's family lives in Panama near well-established farms and decided to team up with Rathinavelu to open a coffee shop in New York to showcase exclusively coffee from that region of Panama.
