Tennis coach celebrated for 2,500 wins over nearly 50 years
Jeff Holman, a tennis coach and high school counselor, has inspired generations of students at Haddonfield Memorial High School since 1976.
Holman, who played tennis in high school himself, began coaching the girls team in 1976. Two years later, he started coaching the boys team as well. Since then, he's held that role for the better part of a half-century.
Recently, Holman tallied his 2,500th win across both teams. Students made posters and a plaque to celebrate his historic accomplishment.
As for Holman, his greatest prize is being surrounded by ambitious students who are not only passionate about tennis, but also about their future careers.
Watch the video above to hear Holman's story in his own words.

Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue is hoping the right family will help Jovi, a big-hearted, energetic two-year-old, find the lasting home he’s been waiting for. The 73-pound Golden-Hearted Pyrenees mix would do best with an active family, patient adopters committed to continued training, and a home with teenagers or older children. A quieter neighborhood and fenced yard would suit him, and a playful canine companion could be a plus, the Hudson, Massachusetts-based rescue says.
