The Texans fan behind head-turning hats

2025-07-31

The Houston Texans have a lot of superfans, but none bigger than Pati "The Horns" Cream. She is known for her fiery spirit and her legendary hats with horns.

The 2024 Texans Fan of the Year wore her hat of horns to the NFL Draft in April. She had NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell sign it, "He told me it was the best hat in the NFL", Pati said with pride.

Today, her custom-made NFL hats are blowing up across the league.

"I never make two alike," Pati said with a smile.

She started designing the handmade headgear a couple of years ago for other Texans fans. Word got out, and Pati has been constructing fashionable favorites for NFL Fans nationwide.

"Usually when I think I'm done, I'll post a picture, and I have new orders come in," Pati said.

She has made hats for fans from 29 out of the 32 NFL teams. Her customers give her free rein on the design.

Pati said, "We kind of chat a little bit, and then I just go to town. I've never had anyone say they want this or that. They usually say I love everything you do."

You can view more of Pati's hats, here.

7 Dishes Mothers Made When the Cousins Came to Stay for a Week

I use AI to help draft these articles. Every recipe and every fact in them is checked before publishing. When the cousins' station wagon rolled into the driveway with out-of-state plates and a backseat full of kids, the calendar shifted. Sleeping bags went down in the living room, extra chairs got pulled up to the table, and the mother of the house started counting how many mouths, how many nights, and what could stretch. These dishes were the answer. They fed eight when the usual table seated four, they held up to second helpings and third, and most of them could be started in the afternoon and ready by six.

7 Dishes Mothers-in-Law Passed Down in the 1950s and 1960s

I use AI to help draft these articles. Every recipe and every fact in them is checked before publishing. In the 1950s and 1960s, a woman who married into a family often inherited a whole kitchen education along with the last name. Her mother-in-law had a way with pot roast, a shorthand for the meatloaf, a dumpling technique nobody had written down. Those lessons happened at the stove, not from a cookbook. A pinch of this, let it cook until it smells right, taste it now.
