Two years after opening its doors in The Colony, WorldSprings is entering its next phase with a major wellness expansion designed to give guests a deeper, more sensory approach to relaxation. The destination recently marked its two-year anniversary with a VIP celebration, where guests were among the first to try a brand new offering: Dallas’ first Immersive Aufguss Sauna Experience. Local Profile joined other guests in experiencing the newest addition. A Sauna Experience Unlike Any Other Unlike a traditional sauna session, Aufguss turns heat therapy into a full performance. The centuries-old German ritual combines aromatherapy, music, lighting and choreographed movements to create a multisensory experience. During the guided session, an Aufgussmeister, or “steam master,” pours essential oil-infused water — featuring scents such as lavender, eucalyptus and patchouli — over hot sauna stones, creating waves of aromatic steam. Using a towel to move the heat throughout the room, the Aufgussmeister leads guests through a carefully timed experience that can reach temperatures up to 195 degrees. Yes, you’ll sweat. A lot.
