Loachapoka Elementary School teacher arrested after allegedly hitting 7-year-old student
OPELIKA, Ala. (WTVM) - A 1st grade teacher at Loachapoka Elementary School was arrested for assault after an incident involving a 7-year-old student. According to the Lee Co. Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Brittney Buford was arrested on May 9 for assault in the third degree. She was released on a $1,000 bond.

The most significant damage in the following multiple rounds of storms Thursday night and Friday morning was in downtown Tallassee.
