WBR Schools to offer free summer meals for kids, teens
WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH, La. (WAFB) - The West Baton Rouge Schools announced a free summer meal program for children and teens. According to the school system, families can come weekly to the distribution events to receive a meal box for each of their children, ages 18 and under. Each meal box includes seven breakfasts, seven lunches, and one gallon of milk.

Former Zachary, BRCC standout hired as Tara's new boys basketball coach
Morris Wright carved out a solid career as a basketball player, first at Zachary High School and then at both BRCC and Xavier of New Orleans. All locations of the East Baton Rouge Parish Library will close Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day. Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge is going solo for its PRIDE exhibition this year as it showcases works by photographer and digital artist Caleb Gridley. "Anointing the Artifice" is on exhibit in the Shell Gallery at the Cary Saurage Community Arts Center on June 1 to July 12, with an artist’s reception set for June 7 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The evening includes a live performance piece by the artist.
