Gettysburg Students Win Prestigious Fulbright Grants
Three Gettysburg College students have been awarded prestigious Fulbright grants for their plans to study abroad, the college announced in a press release Friday. Anna Benson ’23 (Argentina), Peter Wildgruber ’24 (Austria), and Leila Elshehawy ’24 (Palestine) were named recipients of the grants, which are awarded annually by the Fulbright U.S. Student Program to support advanced studies, research, or teaching opportunities abroad. The program is sponsored by the United States government, and offers students from around the world the opportunity to live, work, and learn from natives of their host countries.
Utz Brands Enters Sale Agreement With Our Home
(Hanover, PA) -- Utz Brands, Inc. has entered into what is described as a definitive agreement to sell some of its subsidiaries to Our Home. Under the deal, Utz will sell its manufacturing facilities in Berlin, PA and Fitchburg, Massachusetts, along with related assets that include Utz Quality Foods, LLC. The purchase price of 18-point-five-million dollars will provide about 14 million dollars in after-tax proceeds, which Utz will use to pay down long-term debt. Utz CEO Howard Friedman says the sale allows the Hanover-based snack food maker to continue investment in its eight remaining facilities.

Gettysburg police arrest suspect in multi-vehicle break-in
ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Officers with the Gettysburg Police Department have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection to a series of car break-ins.
