LINESVILLE, Pa. (WKBN) – An $ 8 million renovation of a campground in Western Pennsylvania is complete and reopened.

The first campers at the renovated Tuttle Point Campground at Pymatuning State Park arrived in early April. It marked the first day of camping since the campground was closed in 2009.

According to Sen. Michele Brooks, R-50th District, the campground was shut down 14 years ago by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) for cost-saving reasons. Now, the space has 100 campsites spread over two loops with new restrooms, showers, a beach restroom, a fishing pier and a boat launch.

Reservations for Tuttle Point Campground for the 2024 camping season can be made until October 26 through the DCNR’s website — dcnr.pa.gov .
