Disruptive parent forces temporary lockdown at Citrus Heights school
(FOX40.COM) — Lichen Elementary School in Citrus Heights was placed on a temporary lockdown on Thursday, according to the Citrus Heights Police Department. The lockdown was in response to a parent causing a disturbance on the school campus. School administrators launched the lockdown as a precaution. Police said the lockdown was lifted around 2:30 p.m.

Loomis' Summer Concert Series starts with 'On Air'
Loomis announced the season lineup of the free Town 2024 Summer Concert Series at the downtown Train Depot. On the second Friday of each month through August, bands will take the outdoor stage at the Loomis "Four Corners" downtown Train Depot and adjacent Blue Anchor Park area.
