Council Bluffs Woman Arrested in Montgomery County for Possession of Meth and Other Charges
(Montgomery Co) The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Rebecca Sue Warren, of Council Bluffs, on Pottawattamie County warrants, Possession of Methamphetamine 1st Offense, and Person Ineligible to Carry Weapons. Warren was transported to the Montgomery County Jail where she was held on $2,000 bond.

(Red Oak) -- Despite ominous conditions, most of KMAland avoided a repeat of last Friday's severe weather outbreak. Most of southwest Iowa, southeast Nebraska and northwest Missouri were under tornado or severe thunderstorm warnings Tuesday afternoon and evening, as strong storm cells popped up all over the region. (Atlantic) Denison-Schleswig won four of the six singles matches and two of three in doubles to defeat Atlantic 6-3 in a girl’s tennis match at Atlantic on Thursday. Denison-Schleswig- Kiana Schultz, Abby Gutierrez, Claire Leinen, and Abby Meseck took singles matches. Atlantic- Jacobi Harter and Paytn Harter picked up victories in singles.
Sidney Takes Corner Conference Boy’s Golf Title as Griswold Earns Third
(Sidney, IA) – At the Corner Conference Boy’s Golf Tournament on Wednesday, it was a competition all the way down to the wire. The Sidney Cowboys were able to take a team victory with a total of 336 team points and the second and third-place individual finisher. Finishing with the top spot was Hamburg’s Keith Thompson who shot a 67. Hayden Thompson shot 72 for Sidney while Will Bryant shot an 85 for second and third for Sidney. Griswold’s Hogan Hook took the fourth-place spot with an 86 on the afternoon. Finishing in second in the team rankings was East Mills with 370, Griswold came in third at 394, Fremont Mills shot one over Griswold at 395 for fourth, and Essex/Stanton finished in fifth with 431. Atlantic Girl’s 3rd at Sioux City East Tournament
(Sioux City) The Atlantic girl’s golf team played well at the Sioux City East Invitational on Wednesday, finishing in third place out of 10 teams with a score of 397. Belle Berg and McKenna Sonntag had excellent performances and secured top-ten finishes. Berg finished in sixth place with a score of 91, while Sonntag finished tenth with a score of 98. Emma Rose shot a 103, Makenna Schroeder scored 105, Abby Muller scored 116, and Nevaeh Fewson scored 144.
