Authorities searching for missing Michigan girl, 16, who might be in Indiana
(CBS DETROIT) - Shelby Township police are asking for the public's assistance in finding a teen who was last seen on Saturday. Police say Mariah Smith, 16, was last seen on May 11 near Dequindre and Hamlin roads. It is not known what Smith was last seen wearing, but she could be near Fort Wayne, Indiana, "according to a phone ping," police said. She is described as being 5 feet 2 inches tall, 135 lbs., with braided hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information is urged to contact Shelby Township Det. Motorcyclist seriously injured in Chesterfield Township crash
A motorcyclist remains hospitalized with serious injuries following a May 12 crash in Chesterfield Township. Police responding to the crash on Gratiot Avenue near Carriage Way Drive, north of 23 Mile Road, found a damaged Ford F150 pickup and a heavily damaged Harley Davidson motorcycle. The Ford was driven by a 58-year-old Chesterfield Township resident, and the motorcycle by a 21-year-old Sterling Heights resident.

Sheriff hosts town hall to address high-end home robberies
A recent town hall meeting drew more attention to an issue that has been a source of concern for some Oakland County residents going back at least as far as last year. Richmond school board approves contract with food service employees
The Richmond Community Schools Board of Education greenlit a three-year contract between the district and its food service employees on May 13. During a regular meeting, the board voted unanimously to accept the recommendation of the superintendent and approve the three-year contract from July 1 of this year through June 30, 2027. Secretary Sandra Fortuna was absent.
Former Clinton Township Officer Sentenced to Probation for Unauthorized Use of Police Database
A former officer of the Clinton Township Police was sentenced after pleading guilty to illicitly utilizing a police database to search a vehicle license plate. John Hreno, the ex-officer, was sentenced to probation and community service following his admission to the misdemeanor, according to The Detroit News. The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office disclosed Hreno's sentence of two years on probation and a requirement to fulfill 25 hours of community service.
