The Appleton Post-Crescent sat down with Wisconsin Department of Transportation Traffic Engineer Joshua Falk to ask commuter questions and talk about what we've been seeing along the 23-mile Interstate 41 Project work zone , both ahead of the snowy season and on the eve of the season's first Green Bay Packers home game. FOND DU LAC – Drivers in Fond du Lac should plan for several street closures and construction zones the week of Sept. 21-25. Here’s what to know. Western Avenue and Macy Street Western Avenue from Military Road to Main Street and Macy Street from Court Street to Western Avenue are under construction through October. Crews are relocating gas mains and services and rebuilding sewer, water, roadway, sidewalk, lighting, traffic signals and landscaping. The sewer contractor will continue installing storm sewer main Sept. 21-25. Western Avenue is closed to traffic between Macy and Oak streets. Shawano Avenue roundabout at I-41 now open to traffic following crash
All lanes of traffic for the Shawano Avenue roundabout at Interstate 41 are now open, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. A crash was reported at 6:15 a.m. Sept. 21 in Howard. Wisconsin DOT traffic cameras show a semi truck was involved. It was anticipated the approximately two hours as the Brown County Sheriff's Department works to clear the crash. I-41 Scheuring Road ramp to close for a month starting Sept. 21
The on-ramp to southbound Interstate 41 from Scheuring Road in Lawrence will close for 30 days beginning at 7 p.m. Sept. 21, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Northeast Region. The work is part of the I-41 project to expand 23 miles of the interstate from four to six lates from State 96 in Appleton to Scheuring Road/County F. Work on the road includes adding an auxiliary lane between Scheuring Road and the new Southbridge Interchange. For more information, visit i41project.wisconsindot.gov .
