Orlando weather: Hot day ahead with temps around 90 degrees in Central Florida
ORLANDO, Fla. - We'll start off on the mild side with some light fog in a few spots through 8am, followed by rapidly-warming sunshine through lunchtime in Central Florida. Stepping outside, you just, "know" it's going to be a hot day. Highs will top out around 5° warmer than normal with highs around 90-91°. This will be similar to yesterday's high of 92° at Orlando In'tl Airport, but maybe a degree or two cooler. This is due to the chance for a downpour around the time of the afternoon commute for Orlando, due to the sea breeze.

Employee of Mexican restaurant at square jailed for second time this year
An employee of a Mexican restaurant at Spanish Springs Town Square has been jailed for the second time this year. Miguel Lopez Lopez, 44, of Lady Lake, who works at Ay! Jalisco Mexican Cafe on Main Street, was driving a red Toyota Tacoma at about 11 a.m. Saturday on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 when an officer ran the vehicle’s license plate and discovered the vehicle’s registered owner does not possess a driver’s license, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. A traffic stop was initiated at the entrance to Spanish Springs, at U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and Main Street.
Husband and wife land in jail after brawl at their home in The Villages
A husband and wife both landed in jail after a brawl at their home in The Villages. Leonard Victor Lezott, 64, and Dolores Ann Lezott, 66, were arrested at about 2 p.m. Monday by Sumter County sheriff’s deputies at their home on Rose Croft Terrace in the Arlington Villas in the Village of Belvedere.
Suspected thief nabbed in attempt to steal merchandise at Home Depot
A suspected thief was nabbed during an attempt to steal merchandise at Home Depot in Lady Lake. Officers were called at about 2:30 p.m. Monday to the home improvement store after 35-year-old Otis Dennis Andries of Orlando attempted to leave the store with pressure washers and power cleaner tools with a total value of $985, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. As the New York native stepped outside with the items, he was detained by a loss prevention officer at the store.
5 Central Florida restaurants temporarily shut down last week
Five Central Florida restaurants were shut down the week of April 21-27, according to data from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Orange Tamarind Indian Cuisine at 501 N. Orlando Ave. Suite 149 in Winter Park shut down on April 26. Inspectors found 14 violations, six of which were high priorities.
