Widespread, scattered showers & some storms possible this evening

Update:

Chief meteorologist Tom Terry is tracking widespread scattered showers in Central Florida on Wednesday afternoon.

He said some thunderstorms are possible in the area.

Terry said the bulk of the showers and storms will hit our area between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

He said the wet weather should be out of the area by 10 p.m.

Central Florida continues to heat up with more hot days ahead.

The area will see highs in the upper 80s on Wednesday afternoon.

It should be even warmer through the rest of the week and even hotter next week.

Central Florida will also see a 30% chance of showers and storms on Wednesday.

Rain chances are forecast to be lower for the rest of the week.
