District play heating up for area soccer teams
Norman North soccer hosted its final home game of the regular season on Friday and picked up a pair of district wins over Putnam City North. The Norman North girls won 10-0 over the Panthers, picking up their sixth shutout win of the season. The Timberwolves are in a three-way tie for first place in District 6A-3 along with Yukon and Owasso.

Mooreland firefighter continues recovery after battling 5,000-acre fire near Sharon
OKLAHOMA CITY — A Mooreland firefighter remains hospitalized after sustaining injuries from a 5,000-acre fire near Sharon on Saturday. Two firefighters with the Mooreland Volunteer Fire Department were burned after flames overran their vehicle while battling the wildfire in Woodward County. One has been released, while the other, Jared Brittain, is still at Integris Baptist in Oklahoma City after sustaining second-degree burns to his arms and face.
