Severe weather swept through the state on Sunday night causing damage to homes and farmland in Custer County, Roger Mills County, and near the Oklahoma City metro. EF-2 Tornadoes Hit OKC Metro Sunday
Large hail and intensely strong winds made their presence known in the Plains on Sunday. Winds as high as 100 mph were reported Sunday afternoon in Kansas and hail as large as 3" in diameter in the city of Ellis. In addition to this, a tornado emergency was issued for Custer City, Oklahoma. This storm went on to produce a tornado outside of the Oklahoma City Metro. Two EF-2 tornadoes were confirmed in Oklahoma City during storm surveys on Monday.
