Softball: Hunterdon Central Rolls Past East Brunswick, 16-1, in State Tournament
FLEMINGTON, NJ -- The Hunterdon Central girls lacrosse team advanced in the first round of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Group 4 tournament with a 16-1 victory over East Brunswick on Friday. New NJ scam scheme demands money for missing jury duty
A New Jersey prosecutor issued an advisory on a new phone scam scheme roaming around. In the past two weeks, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office received two reports of victims saying they received calls from subjects posing as law enforcement. The scammers would aggressively ask for money, telling the victims they had fines for missing jury duty.

YMCA awarded grant to expand mental health resources
YMCA of Bucks and Hunterdon Counties was awarded a $25,000 grant by the local nonprofit Foundations Community Partnership (FCP) on April 10 at the Doylestown branch. The operational grant recognizes the Y’s strategic initiatives that focus on community mental health in its summer camps and Healthy Horizons Pathway program.

Raccoon Tests Positives For Rabies: Hunterdon County Department Of Health
The raccoon was found in Clinton Township in the area of Andreann Drive and Hamden Road, health officials said. Anyone who have may have had contact with the raccoon between Tuesday, April 30 and Tuesday, May 14, should notify their primary care physician immediately or the Hunterdon Medical Center Emergency Room to discuss concerns of possible exposure and the need for post exposure prophylaxis treatment, health officials said. The Health Department HCHD is working with individuals who were exposed and they are seeking medical treatment to prevent rabies, they said.
