Police arrest man accused of putting drugs inside body cavity
JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Police said a man who was arrested for driving with a suspended license tried to smuggle drugs by putting them in his rectum. Craighead County District Court Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause on Wednesday, April 24, to charge 51-year-old Steven Ray Parnell, of Lebanon, Missouri, with possession of meth or cocaine, tampering with physical evidence, driving while license canceled, suspended, or revoked, and no proof of liability insurance.
Chamber reports increased membership
The Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce experienced an increase in membership over the past year as its management works on some improvements. The Lebanon City Council heard that assessment Monday in an update from Chamber Director Ashley Mahan. Mahan told the Council that she has been in the role for almost a year now and reported that the organization has been a steady increase in membership numbers.
