Police arrest man accused of putting drugs inside body cavity
JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Police said a man who was arrested for driving with a suspended license tried to smuggle drugs by putting them in his rectum. Craighead County District Court Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause on Wednesday, April 24, to charge 51-year-old Steven Ray Parnell, of Lebanon, Missouri, with possession of meth or cocaine, tampering with physical evidence, driving while license canceled, suspended, or revoked, and no proof of liability insurance.

Lebanon R-3 hosts active shooter training
The Lebanon R-3 School District recently hosted a two-day active shooter training hosted by the Missouri School Boards’ Association’s (MSBA) Center for Education Safety and attended by members of local law enforcement agencies, according to a post on the district’s Facebook page. This training took place over the district’s spring break. The district’s Director of School Safety Jason Riggs spoke about the training over the phone. “The Missouri School Boards Association…contacted me back last fall and asked if we’d be willing to host a training,” Riggs said on the training’s initial proposals. “And the training would be free to the Lebanon Police Department, the Laclede County Sherriff’s Department, some other individuals I could invite.” For more on this story, see Wednesday's LCR.
