Floyd Valley Healthcare announces sale of Park Place Estates of Le Mars

Le Mars, Iowa ( KCAU ) —  The Le Mars City Council has completed the process to sell Park Place Estates to Accura HealthCare.

The sale was approved Tuesday after officials with Floyd Valley Healthcare (FVH) decided to sell Park Place Estates to Accura HealthCare based on how they could better serve the community, according to a joint release from both groups.

“During our discernment process to determine the best strategic outlook for Park Place Estates it was clear Accura held the same values as FVH in always placing resident safety first and enhancing an environment that residents will continue to thrive in,” FVH Board Chair Donna Schuster said. “In addition, Accura’s strategic outlook for long-term care in Le Mars is something FVH could not accomplish alone.”

The release noted that Accura HealthCare is a leading provider of post-acute and long-term services. The organization operates multiple skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and independent living facilities across the Midwest.

“This marks a significant milestone for our organization, and we are looking forward to welcoming the Park Place Estates community into the Accura HealthCare family,” CEO of Accura HealthCare Ted LeNeave said. “Accura HealthCare has been fondly connected with the Le Mars community for many years as we have operated the Accura HealthCare of Le Mars skilled nursing facility. This acquisition reflects our ongoing commitment to expanding our reach and providing exceptional care and services to seniors throughout Iowa.”

LeNeave added that Accura intends to ensure a smooth transition for residents and staff that are currently at Park Place Estates.

The release states that the transition is slated for June 1 with a full rebranding. Park Place Estates will also be renamed to Stonebridge Suites of Le Mars.
